Terms of use
Draft - not yet reviewed by a lawyer.
These terms apply to your use of H1B Math at h1bmath.com. The site is run by the operator of H1B Math (details on the Legal notice page), called "we" below. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
The service
H1B Math is a free information tool. It shows which OFLC wage level a salary reaches for a job and area, how many lottery entries that level gets under the weighted selection rule, and estimated selection odds. There is no account and nothing to buy.
Not legal advice
H1B Math is not a law firm. Nothing on the site is legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship with anyone.
This is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney.
Before you rely on a result for a registration, a Labor Condition Application (LCA) or a petition, have it checked by a licensed immigration attorney or a DOJ-accredited representative.
Estimates, not guarantees
The odds are estimates for a range of scenarios, not a prediction for you. Nobody knows in advance how many people will register for FY2028, and the lottery itself is random.
Results depend on dated data and rules: OFLC wage year 2026-27 and the weighted selection rule (90 FR 60864). Wage data, rules and agency practice can change, and a result can be out of date by the time you use it. We work to keep the site correct but do not promise that it is complete, current or free of errors.
Job codes and wage levels
The SOC code must fit the actual duties of the job. It has to be the same on the registration, the LCA and the petition.
The wage level on the registration is a binding commitment. It carries into the petition, which must offer at least the prevailing wage for that level, and the offer must be bona fide. Lowering the wage later can lead to denial or revocation.
H1B Math does not choose a SOC code or worksite to raise your odds and does not rank codes or places by odds. Do not use it to pick a code or a place for that purpose.
AI suggestions
Job code suggestions from the duties text are generated by an AI model and labeled "AI-generated, may contain errors". They can be wrong or incomplete. Treat them as a starting point for your own check against the O*NET task descriptions, not as a decision about which code applies.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- use the site for anything unlawful;
- scrape or download the site in a way that slows it down or harms it for others;
- get around the limit on suggestion requests or any other technical limit;
- try to break into, overload or disrupt the site or its API.
